Autocomponents – GAZ Group
The world consists of particles. Each part and each component occupy their own place in this world. Today we cannot imagine our life without a car whereas a car without an engine, wheels, steering wheel, gear box and many other things. The quality of a car is determined by its components. We produce automotive components. We are «Autocomponents» Division of GAZ Group. The youngest and dynamically developing subdivision of automotive Holding «GAZ Group». Forging and foundry productions, manufacturing of automobile parts, assembly units and modules. We provide the majority of the factories of the Holding with component parts, advance, sale and perform logistic activities for all types of industrial products. We have more than 100 customers. Our production site is situated in Nizhny Novgorod. The sales geography is whole Russia, CIS countries and far-abroad countries.
We are interested in a long-term and mutually profitable cooperation and accept orders for manufacturing of products according to customer’s drawings and requirements from different branches of industry and economy. There exists the possibility to produce die tooling and instruments.

Iron and steel castings
We produce castings of different degree of complexity from grey, high-strength, alloyed iron. Sand-mould casting on automatic lines, shell-mould casting using cores on hot boxes, investment casting (steel casting) etc.
Casting is executed in moulds with the following working area dimensions:

Weight of castings for automobile parts is from 0,01kg to 100kg, weight of castings for dies manufacture and repair - up to 12 tons.
Standard castings from grey iron: brake drums, flywheels etc. as well as non-automobile casting for equipment of roads, squares, pavements (wells, drain grills, decorative grills etc.).
From high-strength iron: axle parts, suspension parts, brackets, crankshafts etc.
Progressive foundry equipment and modern technological processes are used.
Castings from non-ferrous alloys
«GAZ» OJSC produces castings from aluminium (АК9ч, АК12М2, AlSi9Cu3), zinc (ЦА4М10 etc.) and copper (ЛЦ40Сд etc.) alloys by the following casting methods: low-pressure casting, high-pressure casting, counter-pressure casting, chill casting using sand cores. Building of non-ferrous casting of «GAZ» OJSC possesses a wide range of equipment from well-known world producers such as Litostroy (Slovenia), INDRAPRESS and ITALPRESSE (Italy), BUHLER (Germany) and others.
Modern technological processes allow to produce castings of different degree of complexity with high quality assurance.
For die casting from alloy АК12М2 the following die casting machines are used: HTS-1000 (casting weight – up to 4,5kg, size - 350x350 mm), CLH-1000, HTS-630/63 (up to 4kg, 200x250 mm), CLH-630, HTS-400/40 (up to 2kg, 150x200 mm) and automated systems for die casting Х-80,Х-180 by Italpresse (Italy) with cold horizontal and vertical pressure chamber with pressing force of up to 2500t.
Weight of castings manufactured with this method varies from 0,01kg to 30kg.
Standard castings: engine housing, transmission housing, transfer box housing, clutch housing; oil filter housing, housing for secondary fuel filter, housing cover, gear-change lever cap; radiator tank, brake system components, parts for «Steyr» engines etc.
For low-pressure casting from alloys АК12М2 and АК9ч the following machines are used: ВП-1000 and ВП-1250 with pressing force from 1000t to 1250t respectively.
Weight of the manufactured castings is from 1kg to 30kg.
Standard castings: propeller, fan support, transfer box housing, clutch housing etc.
For chill casting from alloys АК9ч and AISi9Cu3 the automated pouring-in systems TEBOVA and machines with horizontal and vertical joint line TsGI 06.12, TsGI 06.23 are used.
Weight of the manufactured castings is from 0,15kg to 30kg, overall dimensions - from 90 mm to 500 mm. Standard castings: inlet pipes, cam shaft bodies, oil coolers, compressor and fuel pump housings, steering boxes etc.
The production of castings from copper-base alloys ЛЦ40Сд by means of die casting is carried out on automated systems for die casting TST – 250 and by means of casting and forging on foundry-forging machines FFM - 4167. Weight of castings is from 0,03kg to 0,45kg.
Castings from zinc alloys ЦА4М10 (weight up to 1,5kg, dimensions 150x100 mm) are manufactured on die casting machines OL/Z-125, CLT160/10, CLV160.01, СLV250.01, OL/Z-50, BUHLER А-5, CLH-400.03, BUHLER Z-400, BUHLER 160, BUHLER -320.
The following melting units are used for the production of alumunium alloys: electroinductive crucible furnaces with industrial frequency IAT2,5M1 (5 in number) and electroinductive crucible furnaces with increased frequency IAT2,5/1,6M3 (7 in number).
The inductive channel melting furnaces UIPLK-2, TChR/7 are used for the production of copper-base alloys (brass).
For preparation of zinc alloys - inductive crucible furnaces IAT-0,4.
Quality management system of «GAZ» OJSC is certified by certification authorities of TUV Management Service Gmbh in the field of production and realization of non-ferrous castings and alloys in compliance with ISO 9001: 2000.
Forgings
Forging production of «GAZ» OJSC produces more than 1200 items of forgings from alloyed and chromium steel. Forging production has a complete technological cycle for manufacture of forgings of different complexity, precision and configuration by hot forging method (including heat-treatment, correction, fullering and scale removal).
Standard forgings: front axle beam for trucks, crankshafts, propeller shaft yokes, torsion shafts, gears, hubs, cross-pieces, rings, hooks, ring-bolts as well as springs for passenger cars and trucks.
Equipment:
• Presses with power of up to 4000 ton-force (standard forgings: gears, levers etc.).
• Presses with power of 6300 ton-force (standard forgings: steering knuckle etc.).
• Stamping lines for large parts with power of 12500 ton-force (crankshafts, beams etc.).
• Hot-forging automatic machines of «HATEBUR» type (round billets with diameter up to 145 mm).
• Automatic lines for manufacture of flat parts of connecting rod type.
Automobile parts, assembly units and modules
«GAZ» OJSC is now producing more than 25 000 items of automobile parts, assembly units and modules for the needs of its own production and as spare parts for «GAZ» brand vehicles. Having at its disposal a high-tech production of automotive units (with a complete cycle of machining and heat-treatment, cold and hot stamping, painting and metal coating) our company has the opportunity to produce similar products for the companies with serial and mass production for application as component parts by manufacture and assembly of different machinery as well as for producers of automotive components of a more complex level. Major products:
• rear, front axles and their components (brake drums, hubs, rear axle housings, reduction gear housings, half-shafts, satellite gear cases, differential gears, final drive gears);
• front shafts, suspension and their components (beams, cross bars, hubs, brake disks, levers, steering knuckles, pull rods);
• truck bed products (platform base, sides);
• seat frames;
• brake system (brakes, brake backplates, brake master cylinders, wheel cylinders, clutch master cylinders, clutch working cylinders, vacuum brake boosters, vacuum hydraulic power units).
At the Automotive Units Plant the following equipment for parts machining and unit assembly is used:
• automatic systems,
• machining centers,
• modular-type and special-purpose machines,
• assembly lines,
• multiple-point and unipresses,
• equipment for surface impregnation and high-frequency current,
• equipment for painting and coating.
In high-tech production the product quality directly depends on equipment and technology. To implement the up-to-date world developments in the field of gearing which are used in the leading companies engaged in automobile manufacturing, modern high-production equipment of «Klingelnberg», «Boehringer» (Germany) firms was mastered at the Automotive Units Plant to manufacture final drive pinions with fine precision and low noise level.
The applied technologies and the utilized equipment allow the production to maneuver with the available capacities thus effectively responding to the changes in the car market demands.
